Dr. Savoie becomes First Vice President of AAOS

ROSEMONT, Ill. (March 15, 2021)—New Orleans orthopaedic surgeon Felix H. “Buddy” Savoie III, MD, FAAOS, was named first vice president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ (AAOS) Board of Directors. His new role is the second in a four-year term of volunteer service that includes his serving as president of the Academy in 2022-23.

“It is both an honor and a privilege to serve the Academy in this leadership capacity,” said Dr. Savoie. “I am grateful for this opportunity and will continue to advocate on behalf of our members and for our patients–all with the end goal of delivering the highest quality of care to our patients.”
